Testing for HIV or an STD
The Alliance Health Project provides free HIV counseling and testing to gay and bisexual men, men who have sex with men, and transgendered men who are San Francisco residents. In 1985, AHP opened the first counseling and testing site in the world and delivers more than 4,000 HIV tests per year.
A diverse team of counselors offers confidential services at various sites throughout the city. AHP provides rapid HIV antibody testing (results within an hour) and HIV RNA testing (results in one week), sexually transmitted disease (STD) testing, as well as multilingual counseling and testing.
