Provider Publications:
HIV Prevention and Mental Health
Periodicals and books that blend research and practice to help front-line mental health and health care providers deliver the highest quality HIV-related counseling and mental health care.
AHP’s 20 years of experience producing publications for providers working with HIV has built a library of practical guides to counseling techniques and HIV-related mental health information. Appropriate for everyone from front-line HIV testing counselors, outreach workers, and case managers to licensed mental health and health professionals through to researchers and policy makers, AHP publications have followed the evolution of HIV disease. They have tracked the psychosocial and counseling implications of HIV-related medical, psychological, and social phenomena.
The internet has enabled AHP to make available free and online more than a decade of each of two of our groundbreaking newsletters, along with a searchable index of their contents. You can access this feature here.
In addition, starting in mid-2008, AHP will offer CEUs for licensed clinical social workers, licensed marriage and family therapists, and registered nurses in California for reviewing selected publications. We hope to expand this opportunity to other publications and to other states soon after.
This AHP library includes:
